About Let's Talk Africa

Let's Talk Africa was launched in May 2010 as  vehicle for stimulating, thought-provoking yet engaging conversation on the role of the educated diaspora as 'change agents'.

Let's Talk Africa was conceived due to the increasing number of African students acquiring excellent quality education overseas, and in light of the global economic climate and other factors such as changing immigration rules that are forcing many overseas graduates to consider returning home to contribute to the development of Africa.

Let's Talk Africa is an event organised by TEC. Through the years we've partnered with Cambridge University Nigeria Society and Anglia Ruskin University (CODYF), to showcase the benefits as well as the challenges that prospective graduates thinking about returning home should be aware of. It also aims to highlight the roles of the educated diaspora as 'change agents'.

This Year, we are launching our first tour called Let’s Talk Africa Tour. This tour will include visits to African societies in Universities all over the UK. Therefore, it will be a great opportunity to organise "An evening of thought provoking narratives and share ideas about the continent".
